It’s a cool August night, and I’m sitting on the back porch. A singular light shines on in the distance. I’m waiting up to see the stars, as I often do. There’s just something about stargazing and falling asleep to the sound of crickets chirping that will never get old.
It’s become an act of rebellion, as I refuse to give up the magic in a world that leaves little time for it. Let me comfortably exist here. Even if just for a minute.
