As an independent country artist, having a growth-oriented mindset can help set yourself up for success.

Recently, I discussed with Nashville-based independent pop-country artist and songwriter, Amberlea Bruch, what being a growth-oriented individual means to her, how failure and setbacks often present new opportunities to grow, the importance of being open to constructive feedback and more.

Q: You’ve previously stated that you’re a growth-oriented individual. What does that look like for you? What is your interpretation of it?

A: Let me first preface this by saying before becoming an artist, I was working in the corporate sector. I was in events management & project coordination for 11 years. In the corporate world, I was a part of companies with a growth and feedback-based culture. This instilled many of the growth-oriented principles I carry forward both personally and professionally to this day.
